Online fraud shop founder jailed for 13 years
Tejay Fletcher, founder of iSpoof, has been sentenced to 13 years in jail for defrauding victims of over £100m. Fletcher bought a Lamborghini, two Range Rovers and a Rolex after making around £2m from the iSpoof.cc website. Criminals were offered tools that allowed them to disguise phone calls so they appeared to be from a trusted organisation, such as a bank, so they could empty their targets’ accounts. Victims around the world were defrauded of at least £100m, including a minimum of £43m from people in the UK.
