Social media sensation LadBaby has broken chart history, achieving their fifth consecutive Christmas number one with their latest charity single, "Food Aid".
The fundraising cover of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" has sold over 65,000 units and became the fastest-selling single of 2022.
With this latest victory, LadBaby has now taken the record for the most Christmas number ones in the Official Charts' 70-year history, previously held by The Beatles.
YouTubers Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, better known as LadBaby, have made music history by securing their fifth consecutive Christmas number one.
Their charity cover of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" has become the fastest-selling single of 2022, with proceeds going to the Trussell Trust and the Band Aid Trust.
The latest offering, titled "Food Aid" in collaboration with MoneySavingExpert's Martin Lewis and with the approval of songwriters Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, sees the Hoyle duo breaking their own record for most Christmas number ones in a row.
The achievement is even more impressive as they have overtaken the celebrated record previously held by the Beatles since 1967.
Although their latest record-breaking win has left some feelings "enraged," in the words of The Independent, the duo humbly thanked their faithful supporters and apologized to Beatles fans for breaking such a seminal record.
