EY's global boss to retire after failed split plan
Carmine Di Sibio, global chief executive of EY, has announced his retirement next summer, despite receiving an extension last year to remain in the position until June 2025. This comes after EY scrapped its historic break-up plan, codenamed Project Everest, in April after months of internal disagreement and opposition from US bosses. The now-defunct plan, which was masterminded by Di Sibio, cost the firm more than $600m and led to bitter infighting.
