Boris Johnson has denied deliberately covering up lockdown parties at No 10 during the pandemic.
He has dismissed the accusations as "strictly for the birds" and claims that he thought the gatherings were legal.
However, Johnson is under investigation for allegedly misleading parliament over the parties.
The inquiry is being conducted by a cross-party Commons Privileges Committee.
The former Prime Minister has been criticized by several sources for his actions.
The Guardian notes that Johnson is being investigated for committing a "contempt of parliament.
" This could include anything that blocks parliament from functioning properly.
Meanwhile, The Mirror calls Johnson "remorseless" and "shamed.
" The former PM has claimed that anyone who suspects he knowingly covered up the parties is "out of their mind."
The Independent reports that Johnson also criticized those who believe the allegations, calling them "out of their minds" and urging them to reconsider their positions.
In the same interview, Johnson said he had tried to be respectful to the cross-party committee investigating the matter.
The Times notes that a senior civil servant, Sue Grey, found last year that the former prime minister's most senior aides were involved in the planning of parties, which involved drunkenness, fighting, karaoke, and vomiting, and that multiple examples of a lack of respect and poor treatment of cleaning and security staff were also present.
