The US State Department has approved a deal for Poland to purchase up to $10 billion of long-range missiles, rockets and launchers.
The package includes 18 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) launchers, 45 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles and over 1,000 Guided Multiple Rocket Launch System (GMLRS) rockets.
Kyiv has reportedly praised the HIMARS for their battlefield successes in destroying Russian warehouses and command posts.
The deal comes as Poland seeks to modernize its military, while donating older weapons to neighboring Ukraine to help fight against Russia's invasion.
